Anya Shrivastava: Club President
Anya is the founder and president of the MVHS Science National Honor Society. She absolutely loves science and can't wait to spread her passion for science through SNHS! Starting in 7th grade where she won the Boomilever event in Science Olympiad for her wooden bridge holding the most sand, physics has fascinated her and motivated her to learn more about how the world works and the fundamental principles behind why the world behaves the way it does. She is very involved in the school robotics team and plans to become a mechanical engineer. Anya tutors in STEM subjects and hosts chemistry workshops at the Mountain View Teen Center and is very committed to show students how exciting science can be and that anybody can be a scientist. She believes that the combination of science and entrepreneurship is very powerful and enables people to drive change. She has spoken at TiE Inflect, the world’s largest entrepreneurship conference, and she is currently working on a startup named CropDrop that aims to reduce produce waste. In her free time, you can see her practicing North Indian Classical vocal and dance or pondering about the physics behind an everyday action. Who knew that the ground pushes us forward when we walk?
